A packshot is a studio-style product photo with a clean background — typically pure white — used for e-commerce listings on Shopify, Amazon, and marketplaces. Packshotr generates packshots automatically from any raw photo: it removes the background, adds a natural contact shadow, and outputs a 2048×2048 px image ready to publish.
How much does Packshotr cost?+
Pricing is pay-per-image with no subscription: $4.99 for 20 images ($0.25/image), $19.99 for 100 images ($0.20/image), or $79.99 for 500 images ($0.16/image). You also get 5 free retouches on install. With your own Gemini API key (BYOK), retouches are unlimited and free — you pay Google directly, not us.
Is Packshotr the same as "Packshot'ai"?+
No — Packshotr and Packshot'ai (with apostrophe) are two different Shopify apps from different developers. Packshotr is built by Réaumur SAS in Paris, France. The official install URL for Packshotr is apps.shopify.com/packshot-ai.
Will the AI modify my product?+
No. Packshotr is built to preserve exact product structure, shape, proportions, and details. The AI only changes the background, lighting, and shadow — it never crops, distorts, or hallucinates parts. The original image is also archived automatically so you can revert at any time.
How long does it take to retouch one image?+
Under 10 seconds per image on average. For batch processing of an entire catalog, expect roughly 1 minute per 10 images. You can leave a batch running and come back to a fully polished catalog.
Does it work with my Shopify theme?+
Yes. Packshotr is installed directly from the Shopify App Store and works inside the Shopify admin — it operates on the product image itself, not the theme. Compatible with all themes (Dawn, Sense, Refresh, custom themes, etc.).
What output format and resolution do I get?+
2048×2048 pixel PNG, square format, pure white background (#FFFFFF). This format is optimized for Shopify product listings, Amazon, Instagram Shop, and Google Merchant Center. Higher-resolution and custom aspect ratios are available on the Studio plan.
Can I get a refund if I'm not happy?+
